New and returning students are getting ready for the start of the fall semester at Lincoln University, with classes beginning Monday.

Though Lincoln students began returning last week with the opening of the residence halls, they have been spending much of that time getting geared up for the new semester. The university hosts a "Week of Welcome" for both new and returning students, which culminated Saturday with the sixth annual President's Barbeque and Organizational Fair.

Amelia Weavers, 19, of Taos, said she's looking forward to the start of her first college semester.
