Callaway Co. authorities break up underage drinking party

Several area youth were taken into custody early Sunday morning after Callaway County authorities broke up an underage drinking party.

Just after midnight, Callaway County Sheriff's Deputies responded to several complaints of a loud party in the Lake Mykee subdivision near New Bloomfield.

Deputies arrived and located the party at 129 Manview Court.

There they found approximately 60 people at the residence.

The party host and resident, Crystal Gentry, 25, was cited for suspicion of permitting drinking of alcohol by minors.

One subject, Dustin Ludy, 18, Forestell, was transported to the Callaway Community Hospital due to becoming unresponsive and released on a summons for suspicion of minor visibly intoxicated.

Three juvenile females were transported to the Fulton Police Department where they provided breath samples and were released to their parents.

The remaining arrested suspects were transported to the Callaway County Jail where they provided breath samples, were processed, and released on summonses for suspicion of minors visibly intoxicated.

Deputies learned from one of the suspects that the party had been posted on Facebook with over 600 people confirming to attend.

Those arrested included:

• Amanda Patton, 19, Jefferson City.

• Haley Wekenborg, 17, Jefferson City.

• Mackinzie Short, 17, Jefferson City.

• Ericka Thompson, 19, Russellville.

• Hailey Munnigh, 18, Jefferson City.

• Ciara Wilson, 17, Jefferson City.

• Blake Helton, 18, Holts Summit.

• Matthew Brewer, 19, Jefferson City.

• Austin Kadow, 19, Jefferson City.

All of the adult suspects are to appear in Callaway County Court on Sept. 28.
