KINGDOM CITY - The battle of Callaway County was won by the Bulldogs, as South Callaway defeated North Callaway 27-13 in the season opener for both teams Friday night.
Jason Kimminau, Cory Hanger and Gardner Rudoff picked up rushing touchdowns for the Bulldogs, who amassed 223 rushing yards in the contest.
Pepper Martin returned an interception for a touchdown for South Callaway.
North Callaway picked up 190 rushing yards and 102 pass yards.
South Callaway (1-0) hosts Crystal City on Friday while North Callaway (0-1) travels to Tipton.
