Jays set to use what they learned in win, two ties

LIBERTY, Mo. - Friday night's Jamboree provided Jefferson City with its first action against someone besides itself.

And thanks to the glorified scrimmages at William Jewell College, the Jays have a much better idea of the work ahead of them as they prepare for their season opener against McCluer North on Friday at Adkins Stadium.

The Jays defeated Liberty North 12-6, and finished in scoreless ties with Liberty and Hickman. But the final scores in the scrimmages are almost irrelevant, as Friday night was more about executing what was in front of them.
