Book club fosters a love of reading, children

And they love the way she adds voices to the characters.

For the second summer, she has hosted a Book Club at Calvary Baptist Church for about 20 neighborhood children, from pre-kindergarten through middle school.

“What’s important is the time they get from us,” Hawcroft said.
