Record-setting Mauk excited to be at Missouri
Sunday, August 12, 2012
COLUMBIA, Mo. — While he doesn’t receive nearly the amount of hype and publicity as top recruit Dorial-Green Beckham, there’s another Missouri freshman with a seemingly bright future ahead of him — Maty Mauk.
Mauk comes to Missouri after a record-setting career at Kenton High School in Ohio. During his four years there as the starting quarterback, he broke national records for passing yards (18,932), touchdown passes (219), pass completions (1,353) and total offense (22,681 yards).
The statistics only tell part of the story.
