Saturday, August 11, 2012
A St. Louis woman was injured Friday night in a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 50/63 in eastern Jefferson City.
Police report Kathryn Englund, 56, received minor injuries around 8:50 p.m. when the car she was driving crashed trying to avoid a collision with a Jeep driven by Dylan Robinson, 20, Linn.
Both vehicles were traveling westbound on the divided highway at North Shamrock Road. Robinson was in the right lane of the westbound lanes and attempted to make a left turn across the roadway to the center crossover at North Shamrock. Englund was in the left lane as Robinson turned in front of her. Englund attempted to stop, but her vehicle began to skid. The two vehicles crashed in the intersection.
Police said Englund was transported to a local hospital for treatment, while Robinson and a passenger in his vehicle - Neal Dudenhoeffer, 20, Linn - were not injured.
