Two charged with July kidnapping

Two Jefferson City men have been charged in connection with a July kidnapping case.

Leroy Spinks, 26, 313 Stadium Blvd., and Daveian Carter, 19, 1220 E. Elm St., are each charged with kidnapping, unlawful possession of a firearm and armed criminal action.

The victim said he was driving a vehicle at Ashley and Adams streets when Spinks, who was walking down the street, waved the victim over.

The victim was told by Spinks he was to call another individual to meet them.

The victim refused and at that time Spinks displayed a firearm and ordered the victim to drive to the 900 block of Justus Street.
