South Callaway board sets tax rate

MOKANE, Mo. - Residents in the South Callaway School District won’t have to worry about their tax rate increasing this year. The operating tax rate will remain the same, at $2.75.

At Wednesday evening’s tax rate hearing and general board of education meeting, superintendent Mary Lynn Battles said that $2.45 will go into incidental funds, while 30 cents will go into capital projects. She also said last year’s tax rate generated $6,982,500 in revenue.
