Police investigate Holts Summit stabbing

A decision was still pending Tuesday evening in the Callaway County prosecutor’s office on whether charges will be filed in a Holts Summit stabbing case.
Officials with the Holts Summit Police Department said a 33-year-old Holts Summit resident who had been arrested earlier in the day was released pending the filing of formal charges.
The stabbing occurred sometime after 11 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of North Summit Drive, Holts Summit.
At 12:13 a.m. Tuesday, the Jefferson City Police Department notified the emergency operation center in Fulton that a 32-year-old man had been stabbed and was in the emergency room of St. Mary’s Health Center.
The victim was transferred to University Hospital in Columbia, but was later released.
Details of the stabbing incident have not been released.
