MRRL library levy increase rejected
Director: Patrons won’t notice any changes until 2013

A proposed 10-cent levy increase for Missouri River Regional Library failed Tuesday in both Cole and Osage counties.
The main library is located in Cole County, where the issue was defeated by more than 3,000 votes. Cole County Clerk Marvin Register reported that 6,115 voted for the increase and 9,014 voted against it.
In Osage County, voters rejected the issue with 1,198 voting for the levy increase and 2,744 voting against it.
