Eldon coach suspended for five games, reprimanded for behavior during offseason

After a grueling nine-hour hearing July 31, the Eldon R-1 Board of Education voted 7-0 to suspend boys basketball coach Jimmy Lincoln for five games during the upcoming season.

The board also called for an official reprimand to be placed in Lincoln’s file, and the coach will be required to sign and abide by a defined code of conduct.

It was a tough month for the coach that followed a series of incidents during a basketball shootout in early June.
