Annexation passes in city, fails in annexed area
Wednesday, August 8, 2012
Jefferson City residents approved an annexation proposal Tuesday to include a new area to the city’s 4th Ward, but residents of the Meadows by the Club area rejected the proposal by six votes.
In the proposed annexed area, 16 voted against the annexation, while 10 voted in favor. Within the city, 69 percent voted in favor, with 30 percent against.
Because the measure didn’t pass with a majority in both areas, a second election will be held in November. The two votes combined will need a two-thirds majority to pass.

Way to go! Who'd want to be part of Jefferson City. They waste tax money. They over tax you on dumb things and don't pass tax bills that need being passed.

Didn't you just post something about the Fools of Jefferson City who forgot 9/11 and how the fools didn't pass the Fireman tax and here you are saying that Jefferson City wastes tax money?
Why should the tax payers keep providing money to the government to throw that money at problems and hope they go away?
I'm tired of giving city government a blank check to write to solve problems. They need to work together to come up with solutions to spend the money that they get from us now wisely.
What part of the NO vote to new taxes don't you understand?
