BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) - Brentwood-based Tractor Supply Co. is planning to build a new corporate headquarters.
The farm equipment retailer announced this week that it has entered into an agreement to purchase an undeveloped parcel of land in Brentwood. The company has been using three leased facilities since 2004.
The new 260,000-square-foot building is expected to be complete in 2014.
Tractor Supply currently employs about 650 people at its leased buildings and expects to grow to more than 1,000 employees in the new building.
In June, the company announced that it had chosen central Georgia for a new $50 million distribution center expected to create 200 new jobs.
