Blues singer/songwriter to perform at The Mission
Tab Benoit learned the blues from blues legends such as Tabby Thomas, Taful Neal and Henry Gray. He started his own band in the 1990s. Benoit will be performing Tuesday night at The Mission.

Grammy-nominated blues guitarist and singer Tab Benoit will perform 8 p.m. Tuesday at The Mission, 915 E. High St.
Tickets are $35 and can be bought at The Mission, online at www.themissionjc.com or by calling (573) 893-2800. Mission co-owner Jenny Robben said about 25 tickets are still available.
The opening act is the Ryan Tomlinson Band. Tomlinson is the guitarist for local rockers Shaman’s Harvest.
Benoit, 44, grew up in Louisiana and learned the blues from a faculty of living blues legends such as Tabby Thomas, Raful Neal and Henry Gray. He started his own band and started touring in the 1990s. He’s drawn comparisons to Albert King, Albert Collins and even Jimi Hendrix.
