ST. LOUIS (AP) - The foreclosure rate in metropolitan St. Louis is up slightly, but still below the national average.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/OH7djc ) reports that about 1.7 percent of the region's homes with mortgages were threatened with foreclosure or bank possession in June. That's up one-tenth of a percent compared to June 2011, while the national average fell by a tenth of a percent.
However, the foreclosure rate in St. Louis remains well below the 3.4 percent average for the nation.
