Cleanup continues after St. Louis storm

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Cleanup continues in the St. Louis area after strong storms ripped through the region over the weekend.

The same storm that caused a tent to collapse at Kilroy's Sports Bar near Busch Stadium, killing 58-year-old Alfred Goodman of Waterloo, Ill., also caused significant damage on both sides of the Mississippi River.

Wind knocked out power for thousands. About 14,000 Ameren UE customers in the area had no electricity at one point late Saturday.

Meanwhile, hail caused significant damage. There were some reports of softball-sized hail. Several cars had windows broken out, and insurance adjusters were getting flooded with thousands of calls from St. Louis-area customers with home, vehicle and business damage.
