The Central Missouri Master Gardeners will host their 14th Annual Plant Sale opening at 7 a.m. Saturday at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds.
More than 200 guests are expected to be in line before the doors open.
More than 20,000 plants were started from seed and nurtured daily by Master Gardener volunteers at their North Jefferson City greenhouse.
And, each of the more than 180 Master Gardeners also will bring more than a dozen perennials from their own yards to the sale.
The herbs, peppers and tomatoes will be similar to what gardeners have come to expect from the University of Missouri Extension Center-based organization’s sole fundraiser of the year, said volunteer Jim Schwieterman.
