Schnieders hurls Helias past Nixa

Trevor Schnieders picked up his second win of the week Saturday afternoon, going the distance as Helias defeated Nixa 7-1 at the American Legion Sports Complex in Jefferson City.

“From last summer, we knew Trevor had a good arm and we were looking forward to him contributing,” Helias coach Chris Wyrick said. “We’re happy with where he’s at and if he can keep getting better, that gives us another weapon the rest of the season.”

“I just wanted to throw strikes and get outs,” Schnieders said.
