Blue Tigers salvage doubleheader with Mo. Southern
Saturday, April 28, 2012
The Lincoln Blue Tigers got a late-game, grand slam home run from Kyle Henke to salvage a split of their doubleheader with the Missouri Southern Lions on Friday at Lincoln Field.
The Blue Tigers were trailing the second game of the twinbill 8-4 until they exploded for a six-run bottom of the eighth. That put Lincoln up 10-8 and while the Lions got a solo homer in the top of the ninth, that would be all they could produce.
Earlier Missouri Southern romped to a 9-1 win in the lidlifter.
