OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The season came to an end for the Lincoln softball team Thursday, as the Blue Tigers dropped a pair of games in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tournament.
The day got off to a rugged start when Emporia State pounded out an 11-0 win over Lincoln in five innings.
The Hornets outhit the Blue Tigers 10-1, as Lincoln's only hit was a first-inning single by Brianna Akers.
The Blue Tigers then fell 8-3 to Washburn in an elimination game.
The Blue Tigers end the season with a record of 15-36.
