Lady Jays open soccer tourney with win

BURLINGTON, Iowa — The Jefferson City Lady Jays opened play Friday in the Tournament of Champions with a 4-0 victory over Peoria (Ill.) Christian.

Jefferson City (7-10) will play Glenbrook (Ill.) North in the winner’s bracket semifinal at 11:30 a.m. Saturday before wrapping up tournament action at 5 p.m.
