COLUMBIA, Mo. — Joey Burkett set a Jefferson City High School record in the pole vault Tuesday at Hickman High School.

Burkett, a junior, cleared 16-feet, 1-inch in the Hickman All-Relays. That bettered the mark of 15-7 1/2 set by Brad Hasler in 1988.
