Lincoln track takes five events

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Lincoln track and field teams won five events in the Kansas Relays that wrapped up Saturday.

Three of the wins came from the Lincoln women’s team, as Ladonna Richardson took first in the college 100-meter hurdles (13.49), Michelle Cumberbatch won the college 400-meter hurdles (58.75) and Twishana Williams beat the field in the college 5,000-meter run (16:58.87). Williams was also third in the college 1,500-meter run (4:28.40).

Lincoln got two wins in the men’s portion of the event, as Terrel Cotten won the college 200-meter dash (21.29) and Lincoln won the college 4x100-meter relay (40.11) with the team of Ravel Grey, Romel Lewis, Joshua Manuel and Cotten.
