Lincoln finishes eighth

KANSAS CITY — The Lincoln Blue Tigers finished last in the eight-team Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Women’s Tennis Championship that wrapped up Saturday.

The Blue Tigers started the event with a 5-0 loss to top-seeded Southwest Baptist on Friday.

The Blue Tigers then started Saturday with a 5-0 loss to fifth-seeded Fort Hays State in the consolation round.

Lincoln’s season then came to a close with a 5-0 loss to seventh-seeded Missouri Western.

The Blue Tigers finish the season with a record of 2-13.
