The state Capitol south lawn was filled Friday with children and activities celebrating Earth Day.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources sponsored the annual event that included booths, displays and entertainment. One group brought to the main stage Friday was “Wildheart,” a music group featuring Jan and George Syrigos who use their music to encourage children to get out and enjoy nature.
Jan Syrigos said the pair loves being a part of the Earth Day activities, celebrating with the many children in attendance.
