The Lincoln softball team entered Friday's doubleheader with the Central Missouri Jennies knowing they probably needed to win both games to keep alive their hopes of making the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tournament.
Lincoln took care of business in the opener, winning 3-1, but dropped a 12-3 decision in six innings in the nightcap.
So while their postseason hopes are still mathematically alive heading into a twinbill today with Southwest Baptist, a split Friday wasn't what the Blue Tigers were hoping for.
