Lincoln's James earns track honor

Lincoln University's Anna-Kay James has been named the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association's Women's Track Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 9-15.

James' honor marks the seventh time a Lincoln woman has earned the award this season.

James recorded a pair of top-two finishes at the Saint Louis University Invitational last weekend, including recording an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time in the 100-meter hurdles. James was the top affiliated finisher in the event, coming in second place behind an unattached runner in 13.78 seconds. The time ranks as the best in the MIAA this season.
