Legislation would designate Hwy 94 to honor veterans

Rep. Jeanie Riddle, R-Mokane, is sponsoring legislation that would designate Missouri 94 in Callaway County as the AMVETS Memorial Highway.

The legislation, known as House Bill 1878, passed the Missouri House 146-0 on March 28.

Riddle’s bill moved then to the Missouri Senate and was approved Wednesday by the Senate Transportation Committee, which includes Sen. Mike Kehoe, R-Jefferson City.

This should help bring some good jobs to our state to help turn the economy around. Now if we can just get that jumping jack bill passed too.

Chickenhawk politicians are funny. I guess there are still plenty of suckers who eat this kinda stuff up with a spoon.

Kinda like how John McCain used to get all teary eyed talking about the vets, while at the same voting NO to every single VA/Vet Assistance Bill that he was able.

We vets really respect the hypocritical pandering. Not.

I am all for honoring our veterans! But how does this address any of the NEEDS of our state? This is a very nice jesture, but mostly just a distraction from doing their REAL jobs.
