Prep Baseball: Helias-Jays rained out

It was off, then on, before finally being called off.

Saturday’s scheduled game between the Helias Crusaders and Jefferson City Jays was canceled after overnight rains at the American Legion Sports Complex. Rains on Friday caused school officials to postpone the game, but later in the day, said it was back on.

It is not known if the game will be rescheduled.

Helias’ game against Fulton on Friday at the Complex, called off by rain, has tentatively been rescheduled for May 9. That may change if Fulton needs that date to play a North Central Missouri Conference game.

Helias (7-2) is back in action Tuesday against Marshall at the Complex. Jefferson City (2-8) is back in action Monday at Hickman.
