Helias pulling double duty at relays

The Helias Crusaders and Lady Crusaders are pulling track and field double duty today, running in both the Capital City Relays and the Blair Oaks Relays.

“They’re both excellent meets and we’re going to be able to get just about everybody in one of them,” Helias coach Tom Emmel said. “There are a lot of fun events and great teams in both, so that’s why we’re trying this.

“Now if you ask me afterward if it was a mistake, I might say it was. But going in, I can see a lot of positives in doing both.”

The Crusaders and Lady Crusaders aren’t treating either competition as a must-win situation.
