Rezoning request approved for residential development

Two requests have been approved for a new residential development on Hoover Road.

At the Jefferson City Planning and Zoning meeting Thursday, commission members approved a rezoning request from RA-2 high density residential to PUD planned unit development for Double Vision Enterprises, which seeks to construct up to 62 units in duplex and triplex style buildings on an 8.5 acre tract of land. The development is planned to target seniors and retirees.

The property consists of a portion of the formerly planned Cherry Creek subdivision, which has been abandoned for several years after the previous developer went bankrupt.
