JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Missouri Congressman Sam Graves says he and his wife are getting a divorce.
Sam and Lesley Graves released a joint statement Friday saying they had enjoyed many great times over the past 24 years but have now grown apart and have filed for divorce.
The northwest Missouri couple, who have three children, said they do not intend to comment further about the divorce.
Graves, a Republican from Tarkio, is in his sixth term representing the 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House in 2000. He previously served for eight years in the Missouri House and Senate.
