"Constant repetition carries conviction."

Cole County's Circuit Court is in a groove.

For the seventh consecutive year, the 19th Judicial Circuit - which mirrors the county's boundaries - has been recognized for efficiency.

The circuit recently was honored by the Missouri Supreme Court with the Daniel O'Toole award for "efficiently managing and processing" its caseload.

In addition to its seventh consecutive win, the honor marks the 10th time the circuit has received the award since it first was presented in 1998.

The award is presented to circuit courts that achieve five of the 10 established case-processing time standards and are within 5 percent of attaining the remaining standards.

Cole County far-exceeded that mark, meeting nine of the 10 standards.

What makes the achievement even more remarkable is that Cole County's circuit is the third busiest in the state.

In addition to its compliment of civil and criminal cases, as well as juvenile, DWI and drug courts, Cole County's circuit - home of the Capitol - is the standard starting point for constitutional and statewide litigation.

We commend the circuit judges and their staffs both for their efficiency and consistency.

The repeat awards signify Cole County Circuit Court's conviction to provide timely justice for litigants and efficient operations for taxpayers.
