Jefferson City baseball coach Brian Ash made the comment last week he didn't care how the Jays got a win, he just wanted one.

Wednesday's game may not have won any beauty contests, but the Jays ended their eight-game losing skid with an 8-7 comeback win against Waynesville at Vivion Field.

A win is a win.

"I'm happy for the kids," Ash said. "They put so much time and effort into it. It hurts to see them struggle all season like they have. And to come out and battle back to get a win after never having the lead, that was pretty special."
