Calvary-Tolton starts own event this afternoon

As Calvary-Tolton prepares to host its own tournament, Lions head coach Rusty Bourg is looking at the success his team had in the Saxony Lutheran Tournament two weeks ago as somewhat of a blueprint.

"We played really well down there," Bourg said, as the Lions open play at 4:30 p.m. today against Tuscumbia. "The only loss was by one run in the bottom of the seventh."

The Lions went 2-1 in the tournament, including coming back from five runs down late in the third game of the tournament to win 12-9 in 10 innings against Leopold.
