City extends deadline for app contest

Jefferson City has extended the deadline for its recently announced mobile phone app contest.

The deadline, which was previously set as Aug. 31, for the app to be available on iTunes or the Android marketplace has been moved to Sept. 28.

Michelle Gleba, communications manager with the city, said the deadline was extended to provide the public with additional time to develop their entries.
