Amtrak shifts to buses during track work

Track work on the Union Pacific Railroad tracks west of Warrensburg will affect Amtrak Missouri River Runner Trains 311 and 316 on Monday:

• Train 311, which normally operates between St. Louis and Kansas City, will terminate at Warrensburg. Motorcoach service will be provided to Lee’s Summit, Independence and Kansas City.

• Train 316 passengers will board a motorcoach for transportation at Kansas City, Independence and Lee’s Summit and go to Warrensburg, where they will board the train to St. Louis.

The motorcoach representing Train 316 will operate 45 minutes earlier than the train schedule at all stops, departing Kansas City at 3:15 p.m., Independence at 3:34 p.m. and Lee’s Summit at 3:52 p.m.
