Hilpert hired as city counselor

Drew Hilpert has been selected as the new city counselor, after serving in the interim for nine months.

In a closed session of the Jefferson City Council on Monday, Hilpert was unanimously awarded the full-time position effective immediately. As city counselor, Hilpert will go from a salary of $64,000 to $95,000.
