MIAA opponents fill Lincoln’s football schedule

With more than enough Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association opponents to fill out the schedule, the Lincoln Blue Tigers knew who they would be playing this fall in football.

Now they know when, as Lincoln released its 2012 football schedule Monday.

Lincoln will open the season Sept. 1 at home against MIAA newcomer Lindenwood. That is the first of five home games for the Blue Tigers, all of which will start at 2 p.m.

Other home opponents include Missouri Southern (Sept. 15), Washburn (Oct. 6), Nebraska-Kearney (Oct. 13) and Central Oklahoma (Oct. 27). The contest against Nebraska-Kearney will serve as Homecoming.
