The Lincoln softball team picked up its second doubleheader sweep of the season Sunday, taking 6-3 and 4-2 wins over Missouri Southern at Lincoln Field.
It marked the first twinbill sweep for the Blue Tigers since March 7, when Lincoln took two from Lindenwood-Belleville.
In the opener, the Blue Tigers jumped on the Lions early, scoring two in the first and three in the second to take a 5-0 lead.
In the nightcap, Lincoln won despite getting outhit 6-5.
The Blue Tigers improved to 10-26 the season and 3-9 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, while the Lions dropped to 12-23 overall and 4-4 in the league.
Lincoln returns to action Friday with a doubleheader against future MIAA opponent Lindenwood University. The first game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
