Two Lady Jays advance in golf

KANSAS CITY — A pair of Jefferson City Lady Jays advanced to sectional golf competition with their finishes Thursday in the Class 2 District 6 Tournament.

Brooke Thompson and Hope Watson will play next week in the sectional at the Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield. Thompson finished 11th in the district tournament with a 93, while Watson tied for 13th with a 95. Both earned all-district honors with their top 15 finishes.
