Cardinals TV broadcaster accused of drunk driving

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Fox Sports Midwest has suspended St. Louis Cardinals play-by-play broadcaster Dan McLaughlin after his arrest for allegedly driving while intoxicated - his second drunk-driving arrest in 13 months.

Chesterfield police told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/p6CHmm ) that McLaughlin was arrested Sunday after crashing his car into a stop sign. Formal charges have not been filed. McLaughlin was freed after posting $750 bond. He does not have a listed phone number.

Fox Sports Midwest general manager Jack Donovan says McLaughlin is suspended, though he has no current assignments now that the Cardinals are in the postseason. The station does not air playoff games.

McLaughlin was arrested for DWI in August 2010. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years of probation in November.
