Two people were injured in a two-car accident at 8:30 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 63 at Missouri 163 in Boone County.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Chevrolet, driven westbound by Kimberly A. Garrett, 52, Ashland, attempted to cross southbound U.S. 63 and traveled into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet, driven southbound by Yolandis A. Patterson, 34, Jefferson City. The Garrett vehicle then traveled off the road, ejecting Garrett.
Garrett, who was not wearing a seat belt and Patterson, who was wearing a seat belt, were taken to University Hospital in Columbia.
