Truck hauling huge clock crashes

ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (AP) - The driver of a tractor-trailer hauling a giant clock to an Indiana courthouse says he had a coughing fit and lost control on an Ohio highway, sending the vehicle into a ditch.

WDTN-TV reports the crash happened Monday on westbound Interstate 70 near Englewood, northwest of Dayton. The driver wasn't hurt.

State troopers told WHIO-TV that the truck's fuel tanks were punctured in the crash. Some fuel spilled near the rain-swollen ditch, and crews were working to clean it up.

The truck was headed to Indiana's Randolph County, just over the state line. The clock was to be used on a courthouse in Winchester.

WHIO-TV said the clock did not appear to be significantly damaged.
