An ad in Sunday's News Tribune newspaper carried the family's reminder: Angela and Rodney Gilpin died two years ago this morning (Wednesday), each killed with multiple gunshot wounds.

"It's hard to believe it's been two years since you were taken from us," the ad, signed by 10 family members, read. "Our love for you both continues to grow and your love for us will never be forgotten."

Cole County's prosecutors have said they intend to seek the death penalty, if jurors convict David Russell Hosier, now 56, in the case.

Hosier is to be tried in Jefferson City next June, with a jury picked from Clay County. A status hearing on the case is scheduled for next week.
