Ben Smith, 7, of Pack 333 at Lawson Elementary School, gets a little help after steering into a hay bale during his first Cub Mobile race Saturday morning on the West Main Street hill near the Secretary of State Information Center. Twenty scouts from Lawson took turns racing the pack's three cub mobiles.
Scouts and their families gathered in Jefferson City on Saturday to take part in the Cub Mobile races.
The 7th annual races were held on Main Street near Bolivar Street and put on by the Boy Scouts of the Five Rivers District.
Joshua Thompson, 10, said he took part in the races last year and was excited to race again.
