The Helias boys soccer team opened play in the Capital City Invitational with a 1-0 win over Troy on Friday night.
Helias (10-1) will play a pair of games today in the event, facing off at 11 a.m. against Poplar Bluff and playing Joplin at 4 p.m.
Also in the Invitational on Friday, Jefferson City won 2-0 over Joplin and 2-0 over Poplar Bluff. No game details were available.
The Jays are now 5-2-1 and will play North Kansas City at 1 p.m. today and Raymore-Peculiar at 5 p.m.
