Workers were busy painting the vertical steel beams while equipment operators from Schrimpf Landscaping of Jefferson City moved around and packed the backfill to support a retaining wall.
Missouri 179 could reopen in early November as planned.
MoDOT officials believe the contractor for the new diamond interchange near the planned St. Mary’s Health Center on Missouri 179 has made enough progress the road could be reopened by the first part of November.
