8-year-old battles diabetes with 3 million Americans

Brycen Miller is one of the 3 million American with Type 1 diabetes, an auto immune disease he will work to control for the rest of his life.

He was diagnosed, Sept. 30, 2010, with the disease suspected to shorten a person’s life by 15-18 years.

“Our son had always been a thin, very active little boy. So, Brycen looked skinny in a wet T-shirt playing outside with his sister, it didn’t send up any flags,” said Angela Miller, Brycen’s mom. “In late July, early August, we noticed ....
